Robert Yale Lary, Sr. was born on November 24, 1930, and died on May 12, 2017.

He was an American businessman, politician, and former American football player.

Lary was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979 and was also selected for the NFL 1950s All-Decade Team.

Lary has also been inducted into the Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, and the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.

Yale Lary passed away at 86 years old.
