Alfonso Wong was born in 1923 and died on January 1, 2017.

He was a popular Hong Kong manhua artist.

Wong created one of the longest running comic strips, Old Master Q, that became popular across Asia.

During 1962, he used his eldest son’s name “Wong Chak”, as a pen-name and is also known as Alphonso Wong.

He studied Western art at Fu Jen Catholic University and was finished with school by 1944.

During the 1960’s, he resided permanently in Hong Kong.

Alfonso Wong was ambidextrous, capable of drawing with both hands.

Alfonso Wong particularly enjoyed drawing fish.

Wong died of organ failure.

Alfonso Wong passed away at 91 years old.
