Christopher Joseph Gedney was born on August 9, 1970, and died on March 9, 2018.

He was a former American college and professional football player.

He was a tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons.

Gedney played college football at Syracuse University and earned All-American honors.

Gedney played professionally for the Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals of the NFL.

After Gedney stops playing football, Chris served as assistant athletics director for major gifts at Syracuse University.

He resided in Syracuse, New York.

Chris previously worked as the Development Liaison for the Syracuse Football Lettermen’s Club and was an analyst for the Syracuse Sports Network.

He was promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director for Major Gifts at Syracuse University, on April 29, 2010.

Gedney died at 47 years old.
