Anzac Wallace

New Zealand actor and former trade union delegate Anzac Wallace was born Norman Pene Rewiri in 1943 and died on April 8, 2019.

He was also known as Zac Wallace.

The actor was best known for his appearance as Te Wheke in the 1983 New Zealand film Utu.

Wallace started out with a small amount of acting experience, however, he was accepted to cast in the lead role of Te Wheke in Geoff Murphy’s acclaimed 1983 film Utu.

Wallace acted in The Silent One, The Quiet Earth and Dangerous orphans in 1985.

During 2016, Wallace made an appearance in Shortland Street as Rocky Hannah.

Wallace was survived by his wife, Deidre Nehua.

Anzac Wallace died at age 76 due to cancer.
