Birger Larsen was born on December 22, 1961, and died on October 26, 2016.

He was a Danish film director and screenwriter.

Larsen won the Bodil Award for Best Danish Film for his 1990 film Dance of the Polar Bears (Danish: Lad isbjørnene danse).

Birger Larsen was also nominated for the Academy Award for Live Action Short Film for his film Sweethearts (1996).

Larsen directed the first episode of Crimes of Passion, in the year 2013.

Birger Larsen passed away at 54 years old.
