Bob Burrow, American basketball player, Died at 84

Robert Brantley Burrow was born on June 29, 1934, and died on January 3, 2019.

He was an American basketball player.

The son of a lumberjack.

Burrow’s was considered the nation’s No. 1 junior college player in 1954 at Lon Morris, where he scored 2,191 points.

Reportedly, Adolph Rupp gave him a scholarship without seeing him play in person.

Bob played collegiately for the University of Kentucky.

Burrow was selected by the Rochester Royals in the 1956 NBA draft.

He played for the Royals from 1956 to 1957.

Burrow was player for the Minneapolis Lakers from 1957–58 in the NBA for a total of 81 games.

He passed away at 84 years old.
