Dina, Portuguese singer, Died at 62

Dina was born Ondina Maria Farias Veloso on June 18, 1956, and died on April 12, 2019.

She was a Portuguese singer.

She was best known for her participation in the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest.

Initially, she entered the Portuguese Eurovision selection, Festival da Canção, in 1980, finishing eighth with “Guardando em mim“.

She took part again in 1982 with two melodies, however, could just oversee 6th and eighth.

She, at last, got her opportunity in 1992, when her melody “Love d‘água fresca” (“Fresh Water Love”) won the challenge and went ahead as the Portuguese agent in the 37th Eurovision Song Contest.

The challenge occurred on 9 May in Malmö, Sweden, where “Love d’água fresca” completed in seventeenth spot of the 23 passages.

Dina discharged six collections and created music for some film and TV show preparations.

She kept on performing, and in September 2009 commended 30 years in the music business with a show at the Teatro São Luiz in Lisbon.

Dina passed away at 62 years old.
