Donald Lan, American politician, Died at 88

Donald Paul Lan, Sr. was born on December 19, 1930, in Newark, New Jersey and died on April 29, 2019.

He was an American Democratic Party politician.

He was appointed the Secretary of State of New Jersey from 1977 to 1982.

He was appointed to the post by Governor Brendan Byrne.

He served as a member of the Union County Democratic Chairman.

Donald Lan was raised in Maplewood, New Jersey.

Lan graduated from Columbia High School and studied at the Seton Hall University.

He worked with the New Jersey Air National Guard and the United States Army.

He also worked at his family’s food processing company: Bell Products in Hillside, New Jersey.

Donald Lan passed away at 88 years old.
