Drupad Borgohain, Indian politician, Died at 78

Drupad Borgohain was born on November 7, 1941, and died on April 10, 2019.

He was an Indian politician.

Borgohain served as a veteran leader of the left-wing in the Assam state.

Borgohain was the secretary of the Assam State Council of the Communist Party of India (CPI) since 2014.

He left that position in 1987.

From 2010, he has been the president of Assam state council of All India Kisan Sabha (peasants’ movement.

Borgohain resided in Maduri town, Sivasagar locale.

Manik Chandra Borgohain and Rupeswari Borgohain were his parents.

Borgohain learned at Nazira High School and Sivasagar College.

Borgohain acquired a B.A. (Hons.) degree.

An educator by calling, Borgohain worked at the Maduri Middle Vernacular School amid 1960– 1961.

Borgohain proceeded to educate at the Chakimukh Middle English School between October 1961 and January 1963, and afterward at Nazira Higher Secondary Multi Purpose School from 1 February 1963 until 31 December 1982.

Borgohain died at age 78.
