Eldon Bargewell, American army general, Died at 71

Eldon Arthur Bargewell was born on August 13, 1947, in Hoquiam, Washington and died on April 29, 2019.

He served as an officer in the United States Army.

Bargewell was appointed the commander of Delta Force.

Bargewell attended the Hoquiam High School in 1965, enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1967.

Bargewell completed the Special Forces Qualification Course in 1968.

In the Vietnam War, Bargewell was recognized into MACV-SOG where he served at the “Request And Control North (CCN)” dispatch site at Da Nang and filled in as Non-Commissioned Officer Team Leader for Reconnaissance Team “Snake” (all CCN bunches were named for states or snakes).

While giving CCN, Bargewell earned the Distinguished Service Cross in September 1971 for his exercises fighting in saving his gathering and getting them to wellbeing.

Eldon Bargewell passed away at 71 years old.
