Glenn Martin Christopher Francis Quinn died December 3, 2002 at the age of 34; he was an Irish actor in television and film.

Born in Dublin, Ireland on May 28, 1970, he spent his childhood visiting aunts, uncles, and cousins in the United States and spent his teenage years in Cabinteely, County Dublin, Ireland.

As a teenager, he played drums in a rock band called Revival, who peaked at supporting Irish AOR Band Winter’s Reign, and had a demo called ‘How could I know’-Rock with BOC – BLB Radio played on the radio.

In 1991, Quinn had his first major role in a movie, Shout, which starred John Travolta and in which he shared an on-screen kiss with Gwyneth Paltrow in her debut film.

One of Quinn’s more visible roles began in 1990 as the character Mark Healy, Becky Conner’s boyfriend, and later husband, in Roseanne. Quinn took on the role as youngest son Cedric on the 1992 US and UK TV series Covington Cross.

While shooting the series in England, he suffered a serious injury to his back falling from his horse while shooting a scene.

In 1992, he starred alongside Holly Marie Combs in Dr. Giggles. In 1997, he played dual roles in the horror anthology film Campfire Tales.

He made his feature film debut with a supporting role as a drummer in the 1991 John Travolta rock musical “Shout,” in which he shared an on-screen kiss with Gwyneth Paltrow.

He went on to appear in the films “Dr. Giggles,” “Live Nude Girls” and “Campfire Tales.” He also appeared in the TV movies “Call Me Anna” and “Silhouette” and co-starred in “Covington Cross,” a short-lived, historical-fantasy series, which aired in the United Kingdom and on ABC in 1992. Glenn Quinn, best known for his recurring role on the sitcom “Roseanne” and a former co-star of the supernatural drama “Angel,” died Tuesday in North Hollywood. He was 32.

The Dublin-born Quinn was found dead from a possible drug overdose at a friend’s home, Los Angeles police said Friday. Detectives said the case will remain open pending the completion of toxicology tests, but no foul play was suspected.

Quinn joined the cast of “Roseanne” in its third season, playing Becky Connor’s not-so-bright, yet sincere boyfriend and then husband, Mark, from 1990 to 1997.

He also co-starred as the half-demon Doyle on “Angel,” a spinoff of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” during its 1999 premiere season. He is survived by his mother, Bernadette, and two sisters, Sonya and Louisa.
