Gordon Neate, English footballer, Died at 78

Gordon Neate was born on March 14, 1941, in Reading and died on May 10, 2019.

Neate was an English professional footballer.

He played as a full back.

He joined main residence club Reading in 1956 at 15 years old, turned proficient in March 1958, and made his senior introduction in April 1959.

While at Reading he was nicknamed “Fred” by colleague Maurice Evans. Subsequent to showing up for the club, he resigned because of damage in 1966, matured 25.

Neate then worked for the club as groundsman until he resigned in 2009, matured 68, following 53 years with the club as both player and staff.

Neate passed away at 78 years old.
