Johannes “Hannes” Bauer was born on July 22, 1954, and died on May 6, 2016.

He was a German trombonist

He played improvised music and free jazz.

Hannes was the brother of the trombonist, Conny Bauer.

Since the year 1979 onwards, Bauer worked as a freelance musician in Berlin.

His other work with the following groups : the Manfred Schulze Wind Quintet, Doppelmoppel (with Conny Bauer, Uwe Kropinski, Helmut “Joe” Sachse), Slawterhaus (with Jon Rose, Peter Hollinger and Dietmar Diesner, Futch (with Thomas Lehn and Jon Rose), Ken Vandermark Territory Band and the Peter Brötzmann Tentet.

Hannes Bauer passed away at 61 yrs old.
