Ian Bell was born in 1956 in Edinburgh and died on December 11, 2015.

He was a Scottish journalist

He was educated in Edinburgh.

Mr Ian Bell wrote two volumes of a biography of Bob Dylan and one of Robert Louis Stevenson, Dreams of Exile,

In 1994, The Saltire Society awarded him Best First Book.

Ian had written for The Herald, The Sunday Herald, The Scotsman the Daily Record and TLS as a columnist.

Ian also worked as the Scottish editor of The Observer.

In 1997, Mr bell has won the Orwell Prize for political journalism.

Ian Bell passed away at 59 yrs old.
