Tan Sri Mohamed Zain bin Shamsuddin was born on November 5, 1935, and died on March 1, 2017.

He was known professionally as Jins Shamsuddin.

Jins was a Malaysian film actor, director, and politician.

He was first married to actress Rahmah Rahmat in Singapore in 1961, from which their marriage bore a son named Jefri Jins.

But, eventually divorcing in 1963, in 1973.

Together, they had two children, Putera Hang Jebat and Putera Hang Nadim

Jins Shamsuddin was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in February 2011, causing him unable to speak and unable to recognizing anybody else, including his family.

Then after a few years of bad health, he died at 5:45 pm at a clinic in Taman Melawati, after choking on cekodok on Wednesday.

Jins Shamsuddin passed away at 81 years old.
