Joao Carvalho died on April 11, 2016.

He was a Portuguese mixed martial arts fighter.

He worked under the Total Extreme Fighting promotion.

Over the period of Joao’s career at the Total Extreme Fighting promotion, Joao represented Portuguese club Team Nobrega as a welterweight fighter.

Carvalho died in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin after suffering head injuries after being beaten in a technical knockout in a fight against Charlie Ward two days earlier in a MMA competition in Dublin National Stadium.

However, two days before his death, he was undergoing an emergency procedure on his brain in the hospital.

Joao Carvalho passed away at 28 yrs old.
