Johnny Green, American football player, Died at 81

John Edward Green was born on October 12, 1937, and died on April 24, 2019; he was an American former collegiate and professional football quarterback.

He also played four American Football League seasons from 1960 to 1963 for the Buffalo Bills and the New York Titans and one season in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts.

John graduated from West Point High School in West Point, and then, he graduated from the University of Chattanooga in 1959, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and a member of the football team.

He was a UTC Sports Hall of Fame Inductee, and a Little All-American quarterback.

Sadly, John Edward Green passed away on April 24, 2019; he was 81 years old.
