Songwriter Leslie David Reed was born on July 24, 1935, and died on April 15, 2019.

He was an English songwriter, arranger, musician and light orchestra leader.

His partners were major songwriter Gordon Mills, Barry Mason and Geoff Stephens.

Reed has written many other songs such as Roger Greenaway, Roger Cook, and Johnny Worth.
