Lewis A. Fidler, American politician, Died at 62

American politician Lewis A. “Lew” Fidler was born on May 27, 1956, and died on May 5, 2019.

He was a New York City Councilman.

Fidler started his first term representing the 46th District in New York City in January 2002, which includes the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Bergen Beach, Canarsie, Georgetown, Flatlands, Marine Park, and Mill Basin.

And also Mill Island, Gerritsen Beach, Madison, and Sheepshead Bay.

He went to PS 208, JHS 285 and Tilden High School.

Fidler earned his a B.A. from SUNY Albany in 1975.

He received his J.D. from NYU School of Law in 1978.

Fidler was admitted to the New York State Bar Association in 1979.

He was appointed a partner in the firm of Roberts and Fidler PC, from 1983 to 2019.

Fidler resided in his district with his spouse, Robin, and their two boys.

Fidler was found unconscious at 11 p.m. on May 4, 2019, at the Fair Theater in Queens/

He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center.

Fidler passed away the following day, without ever regaining consciousness.

Lewis A. Fidler died at 62 years old.
