Marcelo Dascal, Brazilian-born Israeli philosopher and linguist, Died at 78

Philosopher Marcelo Dascal was born in 1940 in São Paulo, and died on April 15, 2019, in Kyriat-Ono, Israel.

He was a Brazilian-born Israeli philosopher and linguist.

He served as a professor of philosophy at Tel Aviv University since 1967.

Marcelo Dascal also served as a Dean of the Faculty of Humanities from 1995 to 2000.

Since 1965, he has resided in Israel.

Marcelo Dascal was married to Varda.

The couple had 3 children, Hagit, Shlomit, and Tamar.

They had eight grandchildren – Adi, Lior, Ohad, Noga, Jonathan, Gilead, Almog, and Naomi.
