345645645ft45Marcin Wrona, born on March 25, 1973 and died September 18, 2015.

He was a Polish film director. His film Demon was shown at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.

Marcin debuted at the TIFF in 2010, with The Christening, and was also director of the Polish television series Medics.

A police spokesman in Gdynia, Michal Rusak, said the police found the body of a 42-year-old man, whom he did not identify, at a hotel Saturday after having been notified by the victim’s wife at 5:30 a.m.

The prosecutors said no one was suspected of having had a role in his death, but an autopsy will be performed next week.

Marcin was attending a festival in Gdynia, where his movie had its Polish premiere.

He was born on March 25, 1973, in Tarnow, Poland. Survivors include his wife, Olga Szymanska.

“Demon” focuses on a dybbuk – the spirit of a dead person who, according to traditional Jewish belief, haunts the living.

The film touched on World War II and the Holocaust, painful elements of Poland’s tragic past.

Marcin Wrona died at age 42 on September 18, 2015.
