Marcos Danilo Padilha was born on July 31, 1985,in Cianorte, Paraná and died on November 29, 2016.
He was simply known as Danilo.
He was a Brazilian footballer.
Marcos last played for Chapecoense as a goalkeeper.
He made his senior debuts with hometown’s Cianorte.
Then, after playing for lower teams in the same state (notably Operário and Arapongas), he joined Londrina in May 2011.
During September 2013 Danilo joined Chapecoense on loan until the end of the year.
Padilha made his professional debut on 23 November, starting in a 2–1 away win against Icasa for the Série B championship; it was his maiden appearance in the competition, as his side finished second and was promoted to Série A for the first time ever.
In January 2014 Danilo joined Chape on a contract, and made his top level debut on 19 April 2014, starting and keeping a clean sheet in a 0–0 home draw against Coritiba.
Padilha was an ever-present figure during the campaign, being an important defensive unit as his side maintained its division status.
He lived in Chapeco with his wife Leticia and their son, Lorenzo.
Himself along with most of his club when LaMia Airlines Flight 2933 crashed in Colombia on November 28th, 2016.
He had survived the initial crash but died the next day at a hospital in La Ceja.
Marcos Danilo Padilha passed away at 31 years old.
