Povl Falk-Jensen, Danish resistance member during World War II, Died at 98

Povl Falk-Jensen was born on July 26, 1920, and died on April 26, 2019; he was, better known under the codename Eigil.

He was a fighter in the Danish resistance movement during the German invasion of Denmark of 1940 to 1945.

Povl was a part of the resistance group Holger Danske and the leader of the sub-group Eigil.

He was responsible for eleven executions of informers or collaborators and wrote his memoir entitled Holger Danske – Afdeling Eigils sabotager og stikkerlikvideringer under Besættelsen.

Povl Falk-Jensen passed away on April 26, 2019; he was 98 years old.
