Ronald Carlile Buxton was born on August 20, 1923, and died on January 10, 2017.

He was a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom.

He was a qualified Chartered Engineer.

He relished the lifestyle of a country gentleman on his Norfolk estate.

Buxton came to national attention for a spectacular showing at the polls, prompting Sir Alex Douglas-Home to declare “The best epitaph on hundred days of socialist government…my friend the member for Leyton”.

After that, he was a Member of Parliament for a little over a year, after winning an unexpected victory in by-election in 1965.

Ronald Buxton passed away at 93 years old.
