S.P.Y. Reddy, Indian politician, Died at 68

S. P. Y. Reddy, birth name, S. Pedda Yerikal Reddy was born on June 4, 1950, and died on April 30, 2019; he was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India and won the election on YSR Congress party’s symbol but later changed his loyalty to TDP.

He represents the Nandyal constituency of Andhra Pradesh and is a member of the Jana Sena Party.

Reddy was also an entrepreneur and headed the Andhra Pradesh – based Nandi Group of Industries.

He was born on June 4, 1950, in the Ankalammagudur village from Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.


Reddy graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Warangal and sought the Mumbai-based Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, India’s premium nuclear facility.

He left the position of a Scientific Officer in 1977 and set up a plastic containers manufacturing plant in 1979.

After that, Reddy changed his company’s operations into PVC pipes manufacturing in 1984 under the name of Nandi Pipes.

S. P. Y. Reddy sadly passed away on April 30, 2019; he was 68 years old.
