Severino Santiapichi was born on May 26, 1926, in Scicli, Ragusa and died on September 16, 2016.
He was an Italian magistrate and writer.
Severino Santiapichi was the president of the Courts of Assize in Rome for about 20 years, notably presiding the Aldo Moro trial in 1978 and the Pope John Paul II assassination attempt trial in 1981.
Santiapichi was also, for several years, vice president of the Supreme Court in Somalia.
Following his retirement, Severino Santiapichi wrote several non-fiction novels.
He also served as a professor at the Kore University of Enna.
Severino Santiapichi passed away at 90 years old.
