Tommy Watz, Norwegian translator, Died at 60

Tommy Watz was born in 1958 and died on January 2, 2019.

He was a Norwegian translator.

Tommy grew up in Sinsen and Bekkelaget.

He received his education at Oslo Cathedral School and the University of Oslo, specializing in the Italian language and Italian literature.

He taught Italian literature at the University despite not completing a master’s degree but became a prolific translator.

Tommy was awarded the Bastian Prize in 2013 for translating Alberto Moravia’s Gli indifferenti.

He passed away at 60 years old.
