Wilbert Keon, Canadian heart surgeon and politician, Died at 83

Wilbert Joseph Keon was born on May 17, 1935, in Sheenboro, Quebec and died on April 8, 2019.

He was a Canadian physician.

He was a heart surgeon and researcher by profession, Keon was a longtime Canadian senator.

He was the founder and retired Director General of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

He was a retired Conservative Senator of almost 20 years, appointed by Rt. Hon. Brian Mulroney.

He wedded Anne Jennings in 1960.

They had three youngsters: Claudia, Ryan, and Neil.

Keon likewise has a school named after him in Chapeau, Quebec.
