Zdeněk Mézl was born on October 31, 1934, and died on May 23, 2016.

He was a Czech printmaker.

He was principally known for his illustrations.

Mézl studied at the College of Applied Arts between 1949–1953.

Later, Zdeněk Mézl graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague.

He has illustrated several books using traditional woodcut engraving.

One of Zdeněk’s published books was A Battle for Cathedral or Hey, Slavs!.

Zdeněk Mézl passed away at 81 yrs old.
