Zdeněk Neubauer was born on May 30, 1942, and died on July 5, 2016.

He was a Czech philosopher and biologist.

Noted remarkable especially for original interpretations in science history and epistemology.

He came from a family of the Brno normative legal school representative Zdeněk Neubauer (sr.).

Zdeněk Neubauer graduated from Charles University in Prague (1965 in microbiology, biology, and chemistry, 1971 in philosophy).

At Laboratorio Internazionale di Genetica e Biofisica in Naples (1967–1970), the professor made several discoveries in genetics.

During 1982, Zdeněk left the university because of nonconformist attitudes (both scientific and political).

Then, he was mainly a philosopher (a programmer analyst by job), publishing underground.

As of 1990, Zdeněk has been a member of the department of philosophy and history of science at Charles University Faculty of Science.

Zdeněk Neubauer passed away at 74 years old.
